Walk Thirty Seven

September 18, 2011

Walk thirty seven started in Kirk Michael. This walk was a little under 17 miles and took about 5 1/2 Hours. Weather wise it was not the best, bracing may be one word to describe it. From Kirk Michael I plannedĀ to head over the hills to Onchan. I started up the Baltic Road, to the greenway.

From Druidale I headed over… to Beinn-y-Phott and onto Brandwell. I crossed the road and went up Slieau Hoist and down to the greenway that lead into Glen Roy. I headed along to Social Cottage and took the footpath to Ballacoar, Shonest and along Barroose to the Liverpool Arms.

I then headed along the Groudle road and through Molly Quirks Glen into Onchan.

If it hadn’tĀ been another wet weekend, this would have been a really great walk. Overall, quite demanding, but I suspect that was more to do with the constand rain and headwind, than the route itself.
